PORTERS - Oxus, Mountains for Peace - was a project organised by Mountain Wilderness, an international organisation dedicated to preserving the world's mountain wildernesses and supporting environmentally sustainable tourism. Following on from this project they have began a programme to train a number of Afghans to become mountain guides and porters. |

Tragarze Dzien pracy tragarza kosztuje okolo 10$ (500 afgani). Póki co nie zdarzyly sie, tak czesto relacjonowane w literaturze górskiej, przypadki odmówienia dalszej wedrówki, jesli wynagrodzenie nie zostanie zwiekszone. Tragarz moze niesc maksymalnie okolo 20-25kg (niestety nie sa to nepalscy Szerpowie). Ludzie ci czesto nie posiadaja zadnego doswiadczenia w omawianej materii, nie umieja rozstawiac namiotów, itp. Z relacji podrózników i alpinistów wynika jednak, ze ucza sie szybko i chetnie. |
