Why Join Mountain Unity?

There are two main reasons to become a member of Mountain Unity. The first is
to support our work and to help the people of the Wakhan have a brighter future.
The second is if you are planning to visit the Wakhan Corridor and would like
additional support.

Mountain Unity is a not for profit organisation that is helping the desperately
poor people of the Wakhan improve their incredibly difficult lives. We will need
financial support until the end of the 2012 tourism season by which time we plan
to be self sustaining. For just £5 a month you can be part of a good news story
that will help win the peace in at least one small corner of Afghanistan.

* For a one off fee we will book your expeditions travel from Dushanbe to Ishkashim, arrange a
border pick up, accomodation in Ishkashim, Wakhan permits, onward transport into the
Wakhan. Please note Mountain Unity will charge and be liable for the bookings not the service
delivery. However if you have any problems with service delivery we will act on your behalf to

** Mountain Unity does not provide emergency services and each expedition must remain
responsible for its own emergency plans. However if any expedition gets into trouble we will
inform the Border Police and do what we can to help.
